A Revamped Version of Sean Connery’s Former $34M Villa Le Roc Fleuri Goes Back On Sale
Knighted in 2005, this 89-year-old legend alongside his wife, the Moroccan-French painter Micheline Roquebrune, have reportedly lived at Villa Le Roc Fleuri for over a decade since the 70’s. Though no longer the couple’s personal retreat, neighbors of the prestigious district have till this day, nicknamed the property “Sean Connery’s house”.
Situated an estimated hour’s drive from Terre Blanche, on a plot of land bigger than Monaco with imposing gates set in stone towers, the Twenties-built residence occupies an elevated coastal spot on Cap de Nice.
Spanning across six floors with more than 10,700 square feet of space, Villa Le Roc Fleuri showcases a five-bedroom classic-style mansion, adorned with vines and colorful climbing plants, in addition to two independent guest villas each with a pair of ensuite bed-and-living-rooms, newly-renovated terraced gardens and an incredible semi-circular indoor saltwater swimming pool, which extends out over the Mediterranean.
Featuring a grand reception and entrance hall with mosaic-tiled flooring, French patio doors, marble staircases with ornate wrought-iron and wooden handrails, a majestic wine cellar, an indoor gym with a sauna and hammam spa, plus the original elevator façade embellished with intricate handcrafted wrought-iron and marble details – Villa Le Roc Fleuri maintains all aspects of its revered 1920s Art Deco design.
Occupying the entire top floor, the master suite boasts two separate bathrooms with modern wide-plank wooden flooring, a dressing room, an expansive walk-in closet, a private balcony, and stairway-access to a palatial rooftop deck.
Listed under Edward de Mallet Morgan of Frank Knight Cap Ferrat, the new and improved Villa Le Roc Fleuri, may not be home to the Connery’s anymore but their long-lasting legacy in the neighborhood remains as prevalent as ever.
