Stephen gave Kellie the surprise of a lifetime when he flew to New York in secret to propose to his partner of eight-and-a-half years. While holidaying in New York with her mother, Stephen showed up with a film crew in tow to capture the special moment. Stephen Craven, a marketing consultant and Kellie Reedy, a salon manager from Cheshire moved in similar social circles, so have known each other for the better part of 12 years. They hung out at the same parties, in the same bars and became friends at first. “Over time, we just started spending more and more time together until it was obvious (to everyone) that we were more than friends. We’ve been together eight-and-a-half years now,” says Stephen.
Stephen has known Kellie was the one since their first holiday together as a couple. He recalls, “We were having a great holiday in Greece, really relaxed, lazing around the pool. On the last night, we went for a walk and I asked Kellie if she wanted to live with me. We moved in together as soon as we landed and have been inseparable ever since.”

Stephen recently popped the question in June on Gapstow Bridge, Central Park in New York City. “For Christmas 2017, my gift to Kellie was a trip to NYC with her mum, Sue. I spoke to Sue in January and let her know of my intentions, and we devised a plan alongside my friends, Alex and Naomi, two amazing videographers and Shari, an NYC resident I have been good friends with for a couple of years. I flew over in secret, and on the last day of their holiday arranged for Kellie and her mum to walk to Gapstow Bridge in Central Park. I set up Alex and Naomi as a fake camera crew, interviewing Brits in NYC on why they love it so much, then I snuck in and dropped to one knee!”

Altan and Holly
Altan booked his make-up artist girlfriend Holly for a fake job via email pretending to be a bride-to-be named “Louise”. When she knocked on the door of the beautiful Manor House Altan had organised for the pretend makeover, Holly expected the bride-to-be to answer the door. Altan answered instead and said, “Sorry, Louise couldn’t make it” and went on to say how much Holly meant to him, whilst going down on one knee. Taf proposed by City Hall in London Bridge having told girlfriend Temi he was taking her to dinner with friends. Upon arrival, he said he had a surprise for Temi pointing her towards a window in which two friends, Taf’s sister and cousin were holding up a “Will you marry me?” sign. Temi burst into tears while Taf got down on one knee.

Over the last few years we’ve followed their relationship through its ups and downs on TV’s Made In Chelsea, so for most of us it will come as no surprise that after two years together, Ryan Libbey has popped the all important question to Louise Thompson. With the details of the romantic Los Angeles proposal revealed, and the photos of Louise’s stunning 77 Diamonds ring shared by the newly engaged couple, we are happy to have been part of this special moment and creating the ring of her dreams.
Upon booking an appointment at the 77 Diamonds showroom, in the heart of Mayfair, Ryan was met by Sophie Lomax, Head of design at 77 Diamonds, an award-winning jewellery designer, highly regarded for her fine jewellery designs with titles including Professional Jeweller – Young Designer of the Year 2017 and Retail Jeweller – 30 under 30 Rising Stars 2017. With Sophie’s wealth of experience and passion for designing bespoke jewellery, she worked together with Ryan to create this special ring, unique to Louise and reflective of her style and personality.
Choosing from over 300,000 diamonds on offer, Ryan was drawn to a beautiful diamond in a cushion cut, a shape that Louise was sure to love. In the top bracket of colour and clarity, meaning it contains very few imperfections and is highly desirable, the diamond also has the top industry grade for cut, polish and symmetry.

It was a magical autumn proposal in the Italian countryside, with a sunset of a lifetime. Francesco pulled out all the stops to make the occasion memorable for Sara. It was a fly-me-to-the-moon kind of moment for the couple when Francesco proposed in true fairy-tale fashion. Francesco and Sara met in London and are now both based in Rome working as marketing managers. Here is their story.

First meeting: The couple met seven years ago while working in the same office for a leading confectionery business in London and for Francesco, it was love at first sight. “From the moment I saw her, I had already fallen in love with Sara’s incredible smile,” Francesco beams.
She’s the one: “I would like to tell my future bride that the moment I realised she was the woman of my life was when I had fallen ill with a bad cough and sore throat. I had to take a flight despite being ill. When I boarded the flight, I realised I had left my Strepsils in my checked-in luggage. With a relinquished spirit I put my hands in my jacket’s pocket, and with great surprise realised that Sara had secretly stashed a bunch of Strepsils in both my pockets,” Francesco recalls with a smile.
“Sara’s capacity to be able to completely understand me and anticipate my needs and vice versa is one of the many reasons why I know she is the one I want to marry. I believe that a common perspective on life is the foundation of a happy marriage.”

The proposal: Francesco had arranged a relaxing long weekend in late October at a stunning 17th century Italian villa called Villa Matilde tucked away in the Piedmont countryside, in Northwest Italy. The couple had visited the villa over the years and it was there that they had listened to their song together for the first time, Frank Sinatra’s Fly Me To The Moon.
Once they arrived at the villa, Francesco had arranged for a massage treatment in the spa for them to unwind and prepare for the surprise evening ahead. They were then fortunate enough to witness an incredible sunset as they headed for dinner. After they finished their meals, they headed to the grand hall to enjoy some quiet time together in front of the fireplace.
“This is where we found the musician that I secretly hired, posing as a guest reading a book and sitting on one of the sofas. Once we settled down, I said to Sara how wonderful it would be if we could listen to some Frank Sinatra and at that point the musician closed his book, stood up, grabbed a hidden guitar and proceeded to to sing Fly Me To the Moon. This came as a complete shock to Sara, who I invited for a dance in the grand hall surrounded by beautiful frescoes. At the end of the song, I went down on one knee and the rest is history,” Francesco shares.

The ring: Francesco chose the Delicacy engagement ring by 77 Diamonds. “I loved the simple but at the same time, statement look of the ring. When I went down on one knee and opened the box, I must say that just by looking at my girlfriend’s expression it was clear that it was love at first sight,” he says.
The wedding: The wedding will take place in September this year in the lovely Italian Riviera town of Alassio. “The venue is set in a lush garden on the hills overlooking the sea, where we will be surrounded by family and friends on this very special occasion,” share the couple.
