Sunseeker Reveals More New Models Including 100 Yacht for 2021

Having staged the world premiere of the Manhattan 68 (YACHTS, Yacht Style Issue 51) at Boot Dusseldorf, Sunseeker has revealed details of more of the many new models it will be releasing this year and next.

Soon after being promoted to CEO in mid-2019, Andrea Frabetti announced a plan to double the builder’s range from 11 models to 22, with the Hawk 38 and Predator 60 Evo (REVIEW, Issue 52) making their international debuts last September.

Following the release of the Manhattan 68, this year’s other new models include the 65 Sport Yacht and Ocean Club Ninety (formerly 87 Yacht), which will both premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival from September 8-13.

The British builder has also released images and details of the Manhattan 55 and Predator 55 Evo, which will have units showing at both Cannes and the overlapping Southampton International Boat Show, which will be held from September 11-20.

The Manhattan 55 will follow the Manhattan 52, a hugely successful model with 131 units delivered since its introduction in late 2016. Fitted with Volvo Penta D13-800 engines, the Manhattan 55 is expected to reach over 30 knots and cruise at 25.

“The Manhattan 52 has been the fastest-selling model in Sunseeker history, so I’m absolutely delighted to bring the all-new Manhattan 55 to market, building on this incredible success,” Frabetti said. “The team has excelled in developing this beautiful new model, which is packed with new technology, ingenious design features and exceptional detailing, both inside and out.”

Key features include a powered glass cockpit/galley window that can be lowered at the touch of a button and create a connected indoor/outdoor living area when the cockpit door is also open.

The aft galley has been designed as a raised breakfast island with optional stools or a lowered worktop with wine cooler, while there’s seating for six in the saloon. A modular ottoman stowed beneath the helm provides additional seating.

The interiors feature new upholstery for a “cool and contemporary look”, while wood-finish options comprise wenge satin, silver oak, smoked eucalyptus and walnut. Owners can select from two lighting schemes from a MySunseeker app.

The flybridge features a sunbathing area forward, wet bar and an aft area with fixed u-shaped seating that can also be specified with a large dining table, all below an optional hard-top. The bar includes built-in storage, grill and refrigeration options. New exterior upholstery options are also available.

The lower deck features three cabins including a master with full-height headroom all the way around a curved king-size bed. The beach club can include an optional built-in barbecue, overhead shower and fold-down transom seating.

The Predator 55 Evo also follows the recent launch of her big sister and features a similar sporty interior to the 60, with a new Predator range of fabrics and textures.

The lower deck features a master cabin aft and forward VIP with scissor berths, both with en-suites. A dinette opposite the lower galley is fitted as standard, while there are options for extended storage or a third Pullman guest cabin. The garage carries a Williams Sportjet 345 tender.

The yacht can reach 34 knots with a Volvo D11-725 shaft engine and benefits from the new ‘Hydro-Pack’, which uses a fly-by-wire steering system.

Sunseeker is scheduled to roll out even more models in 2021 including the Superhawk 52, Predator 65, 100 Yacht and Ocean Club 42 (formerly 131 Yacht). The flagship Ocean Club 50 (formerly 161 Yacht) being produced by Dutch builder Icon is set for completion in 2022.

Sunseeker has revealed details and renders of the 100, which is scheduled to launch late next year. The yacht’s volume has been fully maximised to be below the 24m load line ruling, keeping this as a CE Category A yacht.

“The 100 Yacht is packed with new features and entertainment options,” Frabetti said. “These include what we believe to be the first open-plan bow-to-stern entertainment deck and an owner’s suite with private access to its terrace at the bow.”

The main deck features a penthouse-style saloon with floor-to-ceiling glazing and a dining area for eight, plus a feature wall showcasing exposed stair treads to the pilothouse and lower deck.

Forward, the full-beam master suite has an en-suite, walk-in wardrobe, office and large lobby entrance, although its signature feature is private access to the bow terrace via a fully-glazed sliding door. On the lower deck, four en-suite guest cabins are accessed from a central landing.

The large flybridge has space for a spa bath, features a new hardtop design with optional glazing or sliding panels, and is fronted by the raised pilothouse. It also has walk-around access on both sides to the foredeck, which has a large seating area and table in front of the windscreen, and leads down to the private bow terrace.

Another key feature is the beach club and X-Tend sunbeds, which will first be seen on the Ocean Club Ninety. The garage can convert into a luxurious beach club with built-in barbecue and outdoor rain shower, while a Besenzoni ladder gangway provides access to the water.

The integrated X-Tend sunbeds can be electrically raised upwards to face the covered cockpit or lowered to face aft at beach-club level. The garage, which can be flooded at the touch of a button, can house a Williams Sportjet 460 and Seabobs or a Williams Sportjet 395 and GTX255 jetski.

Sunseeker’s current portfolio comprises six ranges: Superyacht (Ocean Club 50, Ocean Club 42, 131, 116), Yacht (100, 95, Ocean Club Ninety, 86, 76), Sport Yacht (74, 65), Predator (74, 60 Evo, 55 Evo, 50), Manhattan (68, 55, 52) and Performance (Hawk 38).
